SUTTER ON TONIGHT'S GAME:

ON SUCCESS ON THE ROAD:

"We have one of the best road records in the league. I said that a month ago when you get can 40-plus points on the road, that usually bodes well for your club and that's where we're at."

"We have one of the best road records in the league"

ON KEEPING TABS ON WINNIPEG:

"In today's world, that's pretty hard not to do. You're pretty lucky if you even get it on TV. Pretty much have access to everything now in terms of the games, so you know darn well they'll be paying attention to a lot of games. Quite honest, I think it's a great thing. I know we're in this spot, but I think it's a great thing for the league when you've got six teams that are in Game 80, still fighting for spots. When we went to 32 teams, people said, 'You should win THAT game and you should win THAT game.' Well, that's not really true, is it? Every game's different. You see teams that have won multiple championships fighting for spots on Easter weekend, it bodes well for the league."

ON EXCITEMENT OF THE PLAYOFF PUSH:

"We've had to be in sort of a playoff mode for quite a while, so for somebody like me, the playoff thing excites me for than anything. It's easy for me to get in the moment and not let one game (affect you)... If you're in a series and you let one game affect your next game, you've got a big problem. That probably means you shouldn't be there. That's the fun part for me."

ON STAYING ALIVE IN GAME 80:

"You may not be able to control your destiny. But you can certainly control how you play. Our whole thing since the all-star break has been win every game. That's a little deep. But still, if you have that mindset, you can go on a pretty good run and we've been able to do that."

BACKLUND ON SETTING CAREER HIGH IN POINTS:

"With the off-season changes we made, I knew I had to step up and take on a bigger role with some big names and assistant captains leaving. I knew I had to take on a bigger role. Also, with new guys coming in. That's definitely helped my game this year, taking on some responsibility early on and sticking with it."

ON BUILDING OFF THE WINNIPEG GAME:

"We're all excited to play again tonight. Coming off that win, which was huge for us, we feel there's a lot of excitement, confidence in the group. We know what's ahead of us here. Three hard games that we've got to give everything we've got to get the win."

ON LAST WEEK IN VANCOUVER:

"We've got to have a better start. Last game here, we were down 2-0 and we know we've got to be better in the first. As the game went on, we got better and better and took over the game, but in the first, we weren't good enough, so we know we have to be better tonight."

"We're all excited to play again tonight"

TANEV ON FACING THE CANUCKS TONIGHT:

"I think it just starts with the first shift - bring that emotion and intensity that we brought in the Winnipeg game and continue it into tonight."

ON TAKEAWAYS FROM WIN OVER JETS:

"It was obviously an emotional game - a playoff-type game, a must-win game, which we've had the last month. Every shift, every period, every game, it means the world to us. Just bring that intensity, bringing that emotion that can match the moment and have a good pace to start the game and get after it."

ON EMBRACING THE MOMENT:

"You work all year and you'd like to be in a better position, but this is the reality of the situation now. We put what happened last game behind us and we have a new challenge tonight against a team that's playing really well. Live in the moment and be ready for the moment, and we need to bring that same pace that we had in Winnipeg to start the game."

"Live in the moment and be ready for the moment"
