SUTTER ON TANEV'S STATUS:

ON STARTING MARKSTROM TONIGHT:

"It's like the last game of the year for us. Way different than anything else. Marky's been really, really good for us for quite a while now, so he's earned that right, for sure.
"If it's Game 7, you want your ace."

ON THE RESILIENCE THE TEAM HAS SHOWN:

"It's hard in Canada to do what they're doing. You've got to win tonight, because if you don't win tonight, then it's the other way tomorrow. It's hard in Canada to do that because of everything that's... There's no isolation for them. Three weeks ago, it was over and they've heard it and seen it, so the only way you do it is to stick together and just manifest that trust in each other and then go from there."

IS THERE A 'NEW ENERGY' IN THE ROOM?

"No. And I'm firm in that. I don't think that's changed at all. It's not about confidence or any of that stuff. It's about just getting the job done. We know why we're behind the eight ball, so that's not a mystery to us. Now, it's just trying to get the job done."

ON FACING THE BLACKHAWKS:

"The two biggest things we've had trouble with Chicago with is their pace. That could be ours, not theirs - but theirs was there. And that was the difference in the two games."

"It's about just getting the job done"

TANEV ON DIFFICULTY OF MISSING GAMES:

"Obviously, sucks watching, but it's great watching us win. Obviously, you'd like to be out there, but it's the next-best thing is that we're winning games. Guys have been doing great. They've been working their butts off and doing everything that it takes to win these games. Everyone knows how important they are."

ON THE FOUR-GAME WINNING STREAK:

"It's tougher to watch then play. I think when you get all the momentum changes and lead changes that have happened the last few games, it's definitely a rollercoaster to watch, but it's been incredible to see how much perseverance, how much resilience, the guys have showed. Just continuing to work and stick with the process no matter what happens on any given play on any given shift."

ON THE FINAL FIVE GAMES:

"I think we're in a good place. Everyone's pushing each other and having fun at the same time, so it's obviously a balance that needs to happen where you push each other and still have to enjoy being around each other. I think that's what everyone's doing - it's that final push, that enjoyment of competing out there, is what's happening right now."

“Everyone is pushing each other"

KADRI ON THE PLAYOFF RACE:

"I don't think you really have enough time to worry about stuff like that (stress), really. It's intense and everybody knows the situation. But for us, I think we've got to play calm and composed and - of course - it's stressful, but understand it's kind of do-or-die at this point. But I think we've kind of been on that trend all year, so it's no different.
"I think we've worked ourselves back in the conversation. That's great news for us, but all the games that we just played don't mean much if you don't continue to win, so we're stressing that, big time."

ON THE NEXT TWO GAMES:

"Focus on the start. Obviously, we want to come out of the gates a bit better and hopefully play with a lead. ... Ideally, we'd like to have both and it starts with the first period."

“Focus on the start"

ZADOROV ON CHALLENGE OF THE BLACKHAWKS:

"It's hard to play against a team at the bottom of the standings. They have nothing to lose, they have no system, pretty much, so they're just kind of skating around. That throws you (off) guard sometimes, because when you play against good teams, they're structured really well and you know what to expect from them. From Chicago, it's a little different today. Overall, look at it - we have enough experienced guys on this team who can close the games, we can play the right way, so we've just got to stick with it."

"Win the games. That's how simple it is"
