Hanifin on tonight's contest against the Kings:

"It’s huge. Division game tonight and we’ve been playing some good hockey. You always want to end off on a good note before you go into this Christmas break. We fought pretty hard to put ourselves back in a good position. Tonight’s a huge game against one of the better teams in the league."

On what's been working right for the Flames of late:

"I think just the compete and the work ethic has been huge. Everybody seems to be playing hard for each other, that’s what you want to see. I think the little things are getting better, too; the kill’s been really strong, playing a little bit better in the D zone. But I think it really comes down to just the work ethic and the compete. Whether we win or lose, for the last month, it’s been there."

"We've put ourselves back in a good position"

Huberdeau on the mood heading into tonight's game:

"I think we’ve been feeling pretty good, the team lately, I think we’ve been playing well, not giving up much, and I think that’s what we’ve got to keep doing. Tonight’s a really good team, in LA, we have to feel good, where we can get a nice streak still going, and give it all before we get a nice break."

On the challenge presented by the Kings:

"We know they’re a really good team, their offence is really good. We don’t want to think too much about them, think about our game, the way we’ve been playing. If we keep doing that, it should be good for us tonight."

"We’ve been playing well, not giving up much"

Huska on the mindset against the Kings:

"Much the same (as the Anaheim game). There have been areas of our game that have improved over the last little while, we want to continue to build on that, I think that’s an important thing for us. This is one of the premier teams in our division, so it’ll be a great test for us to try and keep that momentum going."

On his club's improvements in the defensive zone:

"We’re maybe understanding where we should be a little bit more than what we were at the beginning of the year, so we’ve got coverage in a lot of places. The push to the compete side of things becomes about those puck battles and 50-50, and how quick we can get to those loose pucks. That’s been a lot of our emphasis over the last little while, is improving that area. You know, it’s little baby steps along the way, but we like the direction we’re headed right now."
