JOHNNY GAUDREAU ON FINISHING CHANCES:

ON SEAN MONAHAN'S SEASON:

"He's such a good person and he is a talented player on the ice. Anytime he comes to the rink, he's got a smile on his face. He's ready to joke here, joke there, and is ready to go on the ice, get serious and have a good practice. Obviously, it's not the way he's wanted it to go this year, but nothing's changed about him, his personality or anything like that. He's in a different role this year, too. People have got to give him the benefit of the doubt here. He's on the fourth line, he's playing fourth-line minutes and he's not on the powerplay anymore. It's difficult to go from playing first powerplay unit and first line, to dropping down from that. For me, personally, just to see him at the rink - always with a smile on his face, always in a positive mood and this and that. Shows what type of teammate he is, what type of friend he is, and a person you want on your team every single day."

"We have a lot of games here down the stretch"

ON FACING THE COYOTES:

"They've got a lot of skill, they're fast, a lot of speed up front. We've got to be aware of that. The last time we played them in Arizona, I think we were playing against the same goaltender and he played very well, kept them in the game. I thought we were the better team that night, but it was a close game throughout the game. We've got to try and get on them early, try to get a lead and put pucks in the net."

DARRYL SUTTER ON COMPETITION UP FRONT:

"I think our schedule has a lot to do with that, and the health of the players. It's not rocket science. There are performance-related situations, but ... We just finished 11 (games) in 20 (days) and the deadline was in there, so you're not sure what or how your personnel is going to move around and where. I think the last month, we've had a lot of - with the Toffoli trade and then bringing Calle in - has a big impact. You're trying to get energy in your lineup. That's what you're trying to do."

"You're trying to get energy in your lineup"

ON MONAHAN'S YEAR:

"You've got to look at the big picture with Sean, for sure. He had major hip surgery last summer and worked his tail off to come back in and be ready. If you look at his first 20 games or 10 games or so, we let him ramp it up. Then, I'd say his first 40 were good games, but then he's struggled offensively the last 20, 25. I should have been monitoring his play a little bit more, how much he played, a little bit more and giving him some games, I think, where he wasn't playing."

NOAH HANIFIN ON HIS SEASON:

"I feel good about my game. Just confidence. Just experience. I've played a lot of games to this point, and I've been able to play with a lot of great, older players that I've learned on and I feel very comfortable with where my game's at now. There's still a lot of areas you can always continue to improve on. But I feel like I know what my role is, I know my identity, and just try to stick to that."
