GEOFF WARD ON FACING THE OILERS:

ON BATTLE OF ALBERTA:

"The last time these two played, they played hard. Rivalries certainly allow you to get emotionally attached, they allow you to play at a higher intensity. Is it the same intensity as with fans? Probably not, but I don't want to say 100% of the time no, because you know how these games can get sometimes. All these guys are good athletes, they believe in their teams, and they love playing against each other. That emotion can manifest itself in many different ways and you can have some awful big moments in these games without fans, so we'll wait and see how it plays out. But yeah, the fans do make a difference."

"They're an explosive hockey team"

ON SEAN MONAHAN'S GAME:

"He's just got to keep shooting pucks. He's getting chances. The one thing about him is his release is good, he just has to have his confidence in his ability to shoot. Sometimes, all it takes is a dirty one to get going. But usually, when you get that first one, you get on a bit of a roll. For him, it's not changing anything, just continuing to shoot pucks. If he wasn't getting chances, we'd be a lot more concerned about it, but he is getting chances and eventually one of them is going to drop."

MIKAEL BACKLUND ON QUICK STARTS:

"We want to be leading, for sure. But we know, as a group, we have a history of coming back in games - we've done it lots of times. That's a strength we have and it's a good feeling to have in the room, because it would be tough if it was the opposite, if you're down in games and don't have that confidence to come back. We do. But at the same time, you want to play with the lead. It's a lot harder to chase games and it takes more energy out of you. So, even though we have the confidence to come back, we would rather play with the lead."

"(We need to) come out and dictate games"

ON 'DICTATING' GAMES:

"We've got, as a group, that mental side more, to have that swagger, that confidence to come out and dictate games, not sit and wait and see what's going to happen. ... It's more of mental thing where we've got to come out, show we're here, and we're going to dictate the game."

ELIAS LINDHOLM ON RIVALRY WITH OILERS:

"I think this will be a good game for us. Even though there's no crowd, you're still very pumped up for these games because there's a lot on the line. Now, it's tight in the standings and we're a couple points behind them, so we know these games are important. Everyone's pretty pumped up."

"I think it's time ... to do something different"
