DARRYL SUTTER ON FACING THE AVS:

ON LOUD CROWD AT BALL ARENA:

"We'll need any little extra that we can get tonight. The key there, again, is going back to - when you're on the road - that team gets their matchup, right? Those two centremen for them, they have a lot to say about the outcome of the game and 7-8 (Devon Toews and Cale Maker) on the backend are dynamic players. Especially Makar. So, we've got to be ready for that."

ON MICHAEL STONE:

"At the end of the day, that, 100% - and I'll tell him again today - your first game is usually your best one. So, you better be ready to go tonight or else he'll get exposed tonight. Hopefully he's got enough experience to manage that."

ON CRAZY SCHEDULE:

"It's been really tough part of the schedule. That's, quite honest, eight (games) in 13 (days), that's more than normal - but the back-to-backs have really nailed us. Then, the long trip (to Colorado last week), that was a tough turnaround for the players and I think it really affected us the next game also. We'll get through this one today and get a couple days until we play again. Seems like a long time - Sunday to Wednesday.
"The other thing about it, as I was telling the players, if you look at our schedule - we still have a game or two in hand on people. The advantage of those postponed games was the home schedule and we're still home heavy when you look at it, just with the road games plugged in there, are back-to-backs and late nights. It's been tough, but our guys have handled it really well. We tried to really concentrate on spreading minutes around, but with that unique quality, right? If somebody's not going, that affects the outcome of the game. We've seen that on a couple games, too."

STONE ON BEING BACK IN THE LINEUP:

"It was good. It was kind of a late audible there, but it was nice to get in and play.
"That was nice to get the legs under me, too. I didn't get stuck in my own zone for much of the first little bit of the hockey game. I had a couple long ones at the end, but that happens and I came away from the game feeling pretty good."

"It was nice to get in and play"

NIKITA ZADOROV ON RETURNING TO COLORADO:

"It's always nice. That first meeting was pretty emotional to play. I spent the majority of my NHL career in this city with these fans. It was great. We went through some ups and downs, we had some good years, we had some bad years, we had some playoff runs. I think it's always exciting to come back. I think today is going to be a little easier, a little more normal. But I'm still going to feel weird being on the other side."
