"A few of the injuries I've had, I don't want to say 'lingered' - but you have your shoulder put back into place and it takes a while. I had one done when I was younger and looking back at that process, the way it felt... There was a massive jump at six months where I felt really confident with it, and then you keep working on it, keep working on it. But three years later, that moment at six months felt almost devastating compared to where I was. Then I had my wrist done twice, broke my face, did my other shoulder and it's just amazing how time heals. Just getting that extra few summers of being healthy and getting two full summers of healthy training, it did make a difference."
