ON BOUNCING BACK AFTER THURSDAY:

"We've just got to get back to playing connected and get our checking game in order. When we play loose, take too many penalties and turn the puck over, that's when we get ourselves in trouble. This is a team that has a lot of firepower and if we're turning the puck over and taking penalties, it's not going to work in our favour. So, we've got to be disciplined in our game and do what we've got to do to win."

MATTHEW TKACHUK ON TOP TEAMS FACING OFF:

"Very big challenge, very tough opponent. Their record at home speaks for itself, their record this whole year and what they've done the past few years is very, very impressive. Team that we've got to get used to playing if we want to ultimately do what we want this year. Seems like they're the top team not only in the conference, but in the league. Tough challenge."

ON WHAT THE AVS DO WELL:

"The big thing that separates them (from) every other team, they've got five guys that are... Almost like you're playing five forwards out there every shift. Make sure you have your guys, make sure you're aware of them up ice, make sure you're physical on them and take away their time and space, and capitalize on some turnovers and try to go the other way with it."

ON GETTING BACK IN THE WIN COLUMN:

"I think last game coming back after two playoff-type games against Minnesota, there was a little dip there, which can't happen. Hopefully coming into what will probably be the hardest game of the year against the best team that we've played this year, hopefully we'll be up for it. It's a nice challenge and would be great to come out of here with a win."

DARRYL SUTTER ON TAKING ON THE AVS:

"Pretty good hockey club. Best record in the NHL, so it's not just a home-ice thing, is the personnel and skill-set that they have that's unique and special."

ON FACING THREE TIMES IN MARCH:

"If they're the best team in the league, hopefully - if we're fortunate enough to make the playoffs - you get the opportunity to play them at some point as an underdog."
