"I thought, for the most part, we played the way that we wanted to play. They scored two goals off the rush and then one on the PP, so I think we did a good job establishing zone time and getting in on the forecheck and keeping pucks alive so if that's somethigng that goes in with playing angry, then I think it was. Like I said, we just have to find our confidence again and bear down in those scoring areas when we get our chances."
MATTHEW TKACHUK ON DESPERATION:
"I mean, I would hope so. This is our playoffs right now and we talk, everybody's competing and competing. We're unhappy with the results right now going 0-3 at home. It was a better effort than the past two games at home but still, you gotta - I mean, I don't know, it's getting frustrating."
"It's getting frustrating."
CAM TALBOT ON WHAT NEEDS TO CHANGE:
"That's a tough question right now. I mean, there's a lot of things I like about our game but I feel like maybe some times when things don't go well for us right off the bat, we kind of let off the gas for a shift or two before we pick it back up and then the other team gets the momentum. So I think that after a goal or a play that doesn't go our way I think we just need to respond a little bit better and have the confidence that that's not going to be the end of the game."
"This needs to be a desperate group right now."
GEOFF WARD ON WHAT NEEDS TO CHANGE:
"It's about compete right now, it's about how hard you want to compete. At the end of the day, if there's a loose puck, are we getting it or are they getting it? And right now. we're not getitng it enough. So, say what you want, but we have to be way, way more depserate."
"It's about compete right now."
WARD ON TEAM'S IDENTITY:
"I think we have to find it. I thought we had it for awhile but we have to find it again. We tried to be a scoring team last year and you saw what happened come playoff time. We gotta check in now and make sure get back to our identity, cause we're not there. That's an accurate comment."
