MILAN LUCIC ON WINNING IN DIFFERENT WAYS:

ON NOT LOOKING TOO FAR AHEAD:

"Obviously, it's easy to get caught up in looking too far ahead in the future and all that type of stuff, but I think that's one strong point that Darryl does on a day-to-day basis. He makes whatever the day is - like today - he makes that the most important day of the season and to stay in the here and now.
"He harps on us all day - whether it's a game day or practice day - to be at our best and get better on that day. He puts a lot of pressure or onus on the leadership group to look at it that way as well. I think I can echo what (Mikael Backlund) said (Friday), in the sense that it is fun coming to the rink, it is fun playing the right way, it is fun walking to the rink expecting to win - wanting to win - and going out there and playing for each other.
"Sometimes it's nice having a break and getting away from each other, so when you get back together, you light that fire again."

"We want to keep it going"

CHRIS TANEV ON SUCCESS DEFENDING THE RUSH:

"A lot of it is on our forwards. Back-pressure, re-loading hard and not allowing teams to go laterally on us at the blueline. That's what a lot of the good players want to do is get the line and go east-west and try to create space. We've had really good back-pressure and that's allowed us to have good gaps and get teams to - hopefully - dump pucks in."

ON EXTENDING THE WINNING STREAK:

"We've been playing well. Obviously, last game wasn't our best, but Marky came through and made a bunch of big saves for us. Got the two points, which was huge in a tough back-to-back against two good teams. Now we move on to another good team. They're a team that's very competitive and plays the right way and plays hard."

ON OFFENCE FROM THE BLUELINE:

"Darryl wants us to be involved in the play and he wants us to be up in the rush and he wants us to have tight gaps. As Looch said earlier, he's on us about that part of our game and rightfully so, and we need to keep improving and getting better at that aspect of our hockey team."
