ELIAS LINDHOLM ON POWERPLAY HEATING UP:

MARK GIORDANO ON HIS WORKLOAD THIS YEAR:

"To be honest, you don't really notice, especially during the game. You don't know how many minutes you're playing or not. I think the ability to get other guys in and playing in more of a routine and more of a role out there is important for our team."

We get you set for tonight's tilt in Vancouver

ON SURVIVING AN EARLY CANUCKS PUSH:

"We've got to be better with our breakouts. Making those as D men, we've got to make plays to the middle and hit our centremen when (the Canucks) are coming down the wall, like they were the other night. … So we've got to be cleaner with our breakouts and - I know we always say it - but we've got to get pucks behind their D when they're stepping up like that and let them play in their zone."

GEOFF WARD ON EARLY SEASON RUST:

"You look around the league, especially early, the lack of (exhibition) games was evident, but nobody can use it as an excuse - and we're well past that point now. In a regular camp, you give yourself eight or nine exhibition games, but nobody can use that as a reason for why they're not playing well or trending in the right direction. ... We're a really a present-oriented team. We're not worried about what happened yesterday or what's going on tomorrow.
"We're here for the Vancouver game today, and we're prepared to come out and play a really strong game."

"We just need more consistency"

ON LINDHOLM/GIORDANO'S ICE TIME:

"We've tried to use (Lindholm) as much as we need to in all the situations the game predicts. At the same time, the more you use players, down the stretch of the season when you go into those last 20 games... We saw it with Gio and Lindy that first year when we played Colorado in the first round. They looked to be a little tired down the stretch at some points. So, you have to be aware of it, you try to limit the minutes as much as you can, but when the games are so tight, limiting that one or two minutes probably isn't as important as you may think, because you're out there to win a hockey game.
"We feel like the depth of our lineup can take some of those minutes away over the course of the season, but we'll utilize our depth as we need to to try and win a game. .... It's something that is in the back of our heads. We have a number of around where we want to play those guys, and if we're around that number, then we feel like we're OK."
