DAN VLADAR ON A HAPPY RETURN TO BOSTON:

ON FACING HIS FORMER CLUB:

"I knew the guys had my back, because coming to the building, where basically I kind of grew up as a player, it wasn't that easy. I wanted to enjoy it, but at the same time, I had to really focus because I didn't want to waste this opportunity to come into the building where I started.
"I wouldn't say 'anxious,' I just didn't really want to waste this opportunity, you know? I wanted to come here and prove to our staff and our coaches and teammates that I can really play under some pressure. ... I really cared. I'm not saying I don't care in other games, but this one was special and I'm so happy it ended up and how it ended up and we got the two points.
"Obviously, this is all great, but we're coming back home and are playing Tuesday against Chicago. We've got to enjoy it until midnight tonight, and then a quick recovery and be ready for practice in 12 hours again. Just a quick turnaround and the sun comes up again tomorrow. I still have two more hours to enjoy it. Then a new day comes. Just have to be even better than today."

"I wouldn't have believed it"

NOAH HANIFIN ON SCORING IN HIS HOMETOWN:

"For me, individually, it's always fun coming back home and playing in Boston. It's obviously been a couple years since I've been able to do that, and every time I come here, it's always such a blast. I have a lot of family and friends (here). To get the win and play the way we did as a team was great."

ON GETTING THE FIRST GOAL:

"It was good. Obviously, Johnny's having a heck of a year right now and he's such a dynamic player, and every game he seems to get great looks. Coming into a tough building like Boston, it's huge to get the first two goals. That helped us settle in a bit."

"Every time I come here, it's always such a blast"

DARRYL SUTTER ON HOW THE GAME PLAYED OUT:

"We knew we were playing a real structured team - a team that wins a lot of battles. A puck possession team, similar to ours. It was an even affair, I would bet. If you get the analytics experts into it, it's probably pretty even."

ON VLADAR'S NIGHT BETWEEN THE PIPES:

"He was solid. His team was really good in front of him. Wasn't a whole lot of second opportunities. Boston is a team that goes to the net, crashes, gets guys in front of the net, a lot of screens, things like that and our defence did a good job in front of him."

"Give the players credit"

ON TRIP AS A WHOLE:

"This is our eighth game in 13 days, with two back-to-backs, so give the players credit. It's not easy. They got to sweat and bleed eight times in the last 13 days."
