"We're looked upon to put the puck in the net. Try to score goals and help our team win games and obviously we want to do that without being a liability in the D-zone. Last night, we just had a couple looks and couldn't find the net and that's the way it goes sometimes. You're not going to score every single night. If we can put that behind us and get ready to have a big game tomorrow and try to help our team win this game, that would be really important."
ON APPROACHING THE ALL-STAR BREAK:
"You obviously want to be in a playoff spot throughout the whole year, but I think before the season started, we said we wanted to be in a playoff spot before the All-Star break and we're kind of right there. We have three big games here and if we play well and win those three games, I think we'll be in a really good spot. Then we'll come back home and have a lot of games in February and March, so we'll rest up here and get ready to go for those two months."
"We're looked upon to put the puck in the net"
DILLON DUBE ON LINE WITH MONAHAN & LUCIC:
"It's been good, I think, especially of late. I think before we got shut down for COVID, I thought our line was really good with Looch and Mony. We were playing really well and put for or five really good games together. ... Mony's definitely finding his game and he's playing well. He's a good guy to play with. He doesn't get enough credit for how well he plays a 200-foot game. I think that helps me and Looch out a lot to be able to play our game. I give him a lot of credit the last couple games he's played."
ON MONAHAN'S GAME:
"He's just finding it. He's putting the puck in the net, he's been getting chances a lot and he's been finishing on them. It's good to see. Overall, the whole year, he's been consistent getting chances and he's putting them in the back of the net, so it's good to see. He's a natural goal-scorer and when he gets hot, the puck seems to find the back of the net, so it's good to see. Just his overall game it's been looking really good."
"We need to play the way we can"
ON GAUDREAU-LINDHOLM-TKACHUK:
"They're one of the top lines in the league, for sure. They're fun to watch. They create so much in the O-zone, especially below the ringette line there, they create a ton and it's fun to watch. When they're going, our whole team is and they create so much momentum and a lot of goals for our team. The last handful of games, they've been, if not, the best line in the league."
ON SATURDAY'S TILT WITH THE CANUCKS:
"It's all that's on our mind (being in a playoff spot at the All-Star break). Now, we just look at tomorrow's game and how much that means against a divisional team in Vancouver and hopefully getting those two points against them."
