"It's gonna be a tough road trip and we got to set the tone right away and hopefully put a good game out there (tonight) to have a chance to win and then go from there."

BACKLUND ON WINNING WAYS:

"Last year we had some success on the road early on and it helped us finish in the standings where we did, so it will be a big game here tonight starting off the right way and hopefully keep carrying on the momentum here from the last two wins at home."

ON TONIGHT'S GAMEPLAN:

"We gotta stay out of the box, they have a really good powerplay, one of the best in the league. (They have) really good players, really good rush team, so we have to make sure we don't turn the puck over in bad areas so they can get those rush opportunities. So, I think those will be keys - the rush play and their powerplay."
