"I've been doing that for a long time in warmup. Maybe a little more animated last game and that's all a result of trying to get myself going and getting my game to where it needs to be emotionally. I need more of that in my game. I was trying to get myself going. It's funny how many texts and stuff I got from my parents about that."
"We have to get into the games emotionally earlier"
ON TEAMMATES FEEDING OFF THAT:
"That's one thing where we can be better - myself and a lot of us - we've got to find ways to get emotionally into the games early. Maybe it means throwing a hit or chirping a little bit. Whatever it takes, you've got to find a way. For me personally, I think I'm a better player when I'm doing that stuff and I think a lot of guys are like that."
ANDREW MANGIAPANE ON HOT FEBRUARY:
"You're always playing with different linemates and you don't know who you're playing with some days, but you can always count on your work ethic and what you can control. You've got to keep building on chemistry and control what you can control, always give 100% with your work ethic and doing the little things. That will help with points, with game play, with everything. ... That will lead to good offensive chances for you."
"You can always count on your work ethic"
ON PLAYING ON THE PK:
"Over the past three seasons or whatever it's been, (Assistant Coach Ryan Huska) was always telling me to watch clips and sit it on meetings, so I've been doing that ever since I've been up. This year, I got the chance and already knew what I was doing. Big credit to him and the coaching staff for teaching me, showing me the system and having the confidence to put me out there."
GEOFF WARD ON LINE COMBOS:
"Just that we needed a little bit of energy. We know those combinations work and we're confident in those combinations, so we thought going back to them may give us a little bit of jump and it certainly did (on Saturday)."
