The longtime Ducks captain announced Tuesday that he will retire at the end of the season
"I was fortunate to coach him over at the Worlds with Canada the one year. I think whenever you get the opportunity to coach a guy at that elite level, it's always fun for anyone. The biggest thing, he's won - he's a true winner. He's a captain, he's led this organization in a winning way, he's competitive. Everyone loves to have a big centreman and that's what he was over the course of his player, playing in key situations. He played hard, he played the right way, played physical, he put up points. Pretty impressive career that he's had and he has a lot of respect from his peers and everyone in the NHL for what he's done."
