CAM TALBOT ON ARRIVING IN CALGARY:

TALBOT ON HAVING SOMETHING TO PROVE:

"Just coming in refreshed and having a short memory. It's easier said than done sometimes, but last year was an outlier in my career. Coming here, I want to prove that I still have a lot of hockey left in me and there's no better team to do it with than this one."

TALBOT ON TALENT IN FRONT OF HIM NOW:

"Johnny, he's extremely dangerous anytime he's on the ice. Sean's got a great release from that spot on the powerplay. We always scouted that out quite a bit when I was with Edmonton. And anytime you can play behind a Norris Trophy winner... obviously he's the backbone of this team and drives this team. I've heard nothing but good things about Gio and his leadership abilities. It's an extremely deep team from the first line to the fourth, and they have one of the best D cores in the NHL."

"I'm extremely fortunate to have landed here"

TALBOT ON MEETING BILL PETERS AT 2016 WORLDS:

"Playing for Bill at the World Championship obviously helped. I know the kind of style he plays and the system he plays. It's a lot more of a defensive style of game, but obviously this team can put up a lot of points as well. There's a lot of skill up front that can put the puck in the net, but the defensive structure is solid as well. It's a great spot to land here and I'm excited to play behind a group like this."

PETERS ON HIS IMPRESSIONS OF TALBOT:

"Real good goaltender and his track record speaks for itself. He did a really good job early in his career coming out of Alabama-Huntsville (University) and into New York, and he did a great job that year when (Henrik) Lundqvist got hurt. He carried the ball for a quite a substantial period of time. Did real good work up north and is looking to bounce back and we'll give him that opportunity, so it's a good fit."

Coach Bill Peters on his observations at dev camp

PETERS ON GOALTENDING DUO:

"You look at the trend around the league and it's becoming more of a shared position. Not 41-41, but you need two guys and you need two guys that give you good, quality goaltending throughout the year - especially with all the back-to-backs and the travel we have in the west."

GM BRAD TRELIVING ON TALBOT MEETING THE STAFF:

"It's good to see him. I had a chance to visit with him this morning about our expectations, and following up on our earlier conversations - how we view his role here. Ultimately, in his role, it's pretty simple. Just stop the puck."

"I think it's a big piece"

TRELIVING ON WHAT MADE TALBOT A GOOD FIT:

"Having a glimpse of his character, his work ethic, what he puts into his craft… we knew now that this has a chance to work here."
