Six Flames prospects will participate in the 2017 World Junior Summer Showcase, running Jul. 28-Aug. 5 in Plymouth, Mich.
The annual tournament features the USA, Canada, Finland, and Sweden. It is the first step in each country's evaluation process for the 2018 World Junior Championship.

Defenceman Adam Fox will play for Team Blue for USA Hockey. Fox captured gold with the Americans at last year's IIHF World Junior Championship, picking up four assists in seven games. The 19-year-old is slated to head back to Harvard for the 2017-18 season. Last year, in his freshman season, Fox led all NCAA defencemen with 40 points in 35 games.
Forwards Dillon Dube and Matthew Phillips will be suiting up for Canada at tournament. Dube won silver with Canada at last year's IIHF World Junior Championship, recording three assists in seven games. In 2016-17, Dube posted 55 points in 40 games with the WHL's Kelowna Rockets. Phillips is coming off of a 50-goal, 90-point season with the Victoria Royals in the WHL.
Forward Linus Lindstrom will be Calgary's lone representative on the Swedish squad at the Summer Showcase. The 19-year-old spent the majority of the 2016-17 season with Skelleftea in the SHL. He also played six games with Skelleftea's J20 club, scoring four goals and eight points during that stint.
Calgary will have two prospects suiting up for Finland, with defenceman Juuso Valimaki and forward Eetu Tuulola on the roster. Valimaki, the Flames' first round pick in this year's NHL Draft, played for Finland in last year's IIHF World Junior Championship and has represented his country on multiple occasions throughout his career. In 2016-17, Valimaki scored 19 goals and 61 points with the Tri-City Americans. Tuulola, Calgary's sixth round pick in 2016, spent last season in the WHL with the Everett Silvertips. He scored 18 goals and 31 points in 52 games and chipped in with seven points in 10 postseason skates.
