VEGAS (February 19, 2019) - Vegas Golden Knights General Manager George McPhee announced today, February 19, that the Golden Knights have entered into a collaborative partnership with the Vienna Capitals of the Erste Bank Hockey League in Austria. As part of the collaboration, the Golden Knights and Vienna Capitals will have a mutual exchange of ideas, experiences and opportunities to benefit both teams.
"We are thrilled to embark on this partnership with the Vienna Capitals," said Vegas Golden Knights Director of Hockey Operations Misha Donskov. "The Vienna Capitals are a world class organization and share the same vision and core values as the Vegas Golden Knights. Our collaboration and partnership will be mutually beneficial for both clubs."
This unique partnership will include opportunities for hockey operations and business executives from both clubs to observe best practices, participate in meetings and share resources. From a hockey operations standpoint, the Vegas Golden Knights and Vienna Capitals will collaborate and share ideas on coaching education, player development, scouting and player evaluation.
Other organic opportunities are expected to emerge as the partnership evolves.
