RALEIGH, NC. -The Carolina Hurricanes picked up another victory Friday, this time coming thanks to Sebastian Aho at the 2022 NHL All-Star Skills Competition.
Carolina's top line center participated in the Honda NHL Accuracy Shooting, the final event of the night, and became just the sixth player in league history to go "four-for-four", hitting all four targets on just four shots. He did so in just an unofficial 10.937 seconds, beating all eight other participants.
Accuracy Shooting: Aho wins with perfect performance
Aho is the first player to have a flawless run in the Accuracy Shooting since Daniel Sedin did so at the 2011 event in Raleigh, when his 7.3 seconds set an all-time record. This now marks the second consecutive All-Star event that the Canes have won the Accuracy Shooting competition, as defenseman Jaccob Slavin brought home a victory back in 2020 . The Canes #20 received passes from Cale Makar of the Colorado Avalanche and Alex Pietrangelo of the Vegas Golden Knights on his way to taking the crown. He receives a $30,000 prize from the league for his victory.
