Lyon, 28, played six NHL games with the Philadelphia Flyers in 2020-21, earning a 1-3-1 record, 3.33 goals-against average and .893 save percentage. He has posted a 6-7-2 record, 3.21 goals-against average and .893 save percentage in 22 career NHL games with Philadelphia. The 6'1", 201-pound netminder also appeared in four AHL games with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms last season, posting a 2-1-0 record, 3.40 goals-against average and .874 save percentage. Lyon owns a 75-54-22 record, 2.75 goals-against average, .913 save percentage and six shutouts in 149 career AHL games.
Prior to turning professional, he registered a 50-29-14 record, 1.88 goals-against average, .931 save percentage and 15 shutouts in 93 career NCAA games with Yale. In his final two seasons at Yale, Lyon was named ECAC Goaltender of the Year and All-Ivy First Team, and he was selected as a finalist for the Hobey Baker and Mike Richter awards in 2015-16. The Baudette, Minn., native also made 99 USHL appearances with the Cedar Rapids Roughriders and the Omaha Lancers from 2011-13, earning a 52-37-4 record, 2.73 goals-against average, .912 save percentage and five shutouts. He was selected to the USHL All-Rookie Team in 2011-12 and the USHL Second All-Star Team in 2012-13.
