RALEIGH, NC - Don Waddell, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that Lenovo will serve as the team's official helmet branding partner during the 2021-22 season, with the tech company's logo featured prominently on the Hurricanes' helmets.

"We're excited to expand our partnership with Lenovo, a company respected for their bold innovation and commitment to leadership in the tech industry," said Waddell.
A decal displaying the Lenovo logo will be featured on both sides of the Hurricanes' red, white and black helmets as well as their Whalers-inspired green helmets. Team branding - the primary logo on the red and black helmets, the red-and-black alternate version of the primary logo on the white helmets and the Whalers logo on the green helmets - will be positioned on the bottom left of the back of the helmets, opposite the NHL shield.
The announcement continues a long-standing community and marketing partnership between the Hurricanes and Lenovo. At each Hurricanes home game, Lenovo and the Hurricanes celebrate and recognize a "Hero of the Game" for their contributions to the local community, with each hero receiving a free Lenovo laptop.
"The Lenovo and Carolina Hurricanes partnership goes well beyond the ice, and we're thrilled to have our logo featured on the team's helmets for the 2021-22 season," said Vlad Rozanovich, president of Lenovo North America. "We've worked together for years to support Triangle nonprofit organizations, and Lenovo is proud to again recognize the local 'Hero of the Game' at Canes home games as well."
Focused on a bold vision to deliver smarter technology for all, Lenovo is working to develop world-changing technologies that power and empower millions of customers while creating a more inclusive, trustworthy and sustainable digital society for everyone, everywhere. The company's offices in Morrisville, North Carolina have served as one of Lenovo's two global headquarters since 2007.
The Hurricanes' new helmets will make their in-game debut on Tuesday, Sept. 28, when Carolina faces Tampa Bay at PNC Arena at 7 p.m. in their preseason opener.
