Canes Announce Roster Moves

Five players assigned to the Chicago Wolves

RALEIGH, NC - Don Waddell, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has assigned forwards Josh Leivo, Stefan Noesen and C.J. Smith and defensemen Eric Gelinas and Max Lajoie to the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League (AHL).

The team has also recalled goaltender Eetu Makiniemi from Chicago (AHL). Additionally, defenseman Jake Gardiner has been placed on long-term injured reserve, forward Vincent Trocheck has been placed on injured reserve retroactive to Oct. 3, and forward Jamieson Rees has been placed on the injured non-roster list.
The Hurricanes' active roster now stands at 23 players and is attached to this release.
