Nadeau Draft Release 2

RALEIGH, N.C. - The Carolina Hurricanes selected left wing Bradly Nadeau with the 30th overall selection in the first round of the 2023 NHL Draft on Wednesday.

Nadeau, 18, registered 113 points (45g, 68a) in 54 games with the Penticton Vees of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) in 2022-23. The 5'10", 160-pound winger was named the BCHL's Most Valuable Player last season, leading all skaters in assists and points while finishing tied for the league lead in goals. Nadeau was also named the BCHL's playoff MVP in 2022-23, leading the league in goals (17) and ranking second in points (35). He won back-to-back league championships with Penticton (2022-23), recording 59 points (28g, 31a) in 34 BCHL postseason games.

Nadeau found the scoresheet in 49 of 54 contests in 2022-23, with 37 multi-point outings. He opened the 2022-23 campaign with a season-long, 17-game point streak, posting 36 points (17g, 19a) and six game-winning goals from Sept. 23 to Nov. 22. The St-Francois de Madawaska, New Brunswick, native also registered 11 consecutive multi-point games from Feb. 17 to March 18 (12g, 23a), including one of his two six-point games against Nanaimo on March 17 (1g, 5a). Nadeau is committed to play college hockey at the University of Maine next season.
