RALEIGH, NC - Don Waddell, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has recalled forwards Jack Drury, Stefan Noesen and Andrew Poturalski from the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League (AHL) on an emergency basis.

Drury looks to make NHL debut
Drury, 21, has never skated in an NHL game. He has recorded 16 points (7g, 9a) in 23 AHL games with Chicago this season and ranks fourth on the team in goals and tied for fourth in points. The 5'11", 174-pound forward tallied 30 points (10g, 20a) in 41 games with Vaxjo Lakers of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) during his first professional season in 2020-21 and was named a finalist for the league's Rookie of the Year. He ranked second in the league with 11 points (5g, 6a) in 14 playoff games, including two goals and the game-winning goal in the championship-deciding game, as Vaxjo captured its second Le Mat Trophy as SHL champions. Prior to turning professional, Drury played two seasons of college hockey at Harvard from 2018-20, posting 63 points (29g, 34a) in 60 games. He also earned 77 points (28g, 49a) in 100 USHL games with Waterloo from 2016-18, serving as captain in his second season with the Black Hawks. The New York, N.Y., native has represented the United States at numerous international tournaments, winning a silver medal at the 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship and a bronze medal at the 2021 IIHF World Championship. Drury was selected by Carolina in the second round, 42nd overall, of the 2018 NHL Draft.
Noesen, 28, has played 205 career NHL games with Anaheim, New Jersey, Pittsburgh, San Jose and Toronto from 2015-21, registering 54 points (31g, 23a). The 6'1", 205-pound forward has posted 24 points (10g, 14a) in 23 AHL games with the Wolves this season and ranks tied for fourth in the AHL in points and tied for first in game-winning goals (4). Noesen has now tallied 118 points (50g, 68a) in 177 career AHL games with Norfolk, San Diego, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, San Jose, Toronto and Chicago from 2013-21. Prior to turning professional, he spent four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with Plymouth, earning 220 points (100g, 120a) in 215 games from 2009-13 and serving as an alternate captain for the Whalers in his final season with the team. The Plano, Texas, native was selected by Ottawa in the first round, 21st overall, of the 2011 NHL Draft and signed with Carolina as a free agent on Aug. 1.
Poturalski, 27, has skated in two career NHL games, both with Carolina in 2016-17. He tallied 34 points (12g, 22a) in 23 AHL games with the Wolves in 2021-22 and leads the league in assists and points and ranks tied for second in goals. Poturalski was named the AHL's Player of the Week on Monday after posting 10 points (3g, 7a) in three games last week. The 5'10", 183-pound forward was previously selected as the league's Player of the Week on Nov. 1, and he was also named the AHL's Player of the Month for October after registering a league-high 14 points (5g, 9a) in six games during the opening month of the season. Poturalski has now recorded 260 points (89g, 171a) in 322 career AHL games with Charlotte, San Diego and Chicago from 2016-21. The Williamsville, N.Y., native won the John B. Sollenberger Trophy as the league's top scorer last season and won the Jack A. Butterfield Trophy as the MVP of the Calder Cup Playoffs in 2019, leading the league with 23 points (12g, 11a) in 18 postseason games as the Checkers won the AHL championship. Prior to turning professional, he posted 81 points (36g, 45a) in 77 NCAA games at New Hampshire from 2014-16 and was named a top-10 finalist for the Hobey Baker Award in his final season with the Wildcats. Poturalski originally signed with Carolina as an undrafted free agent on March 8, 2016, and after spending the last two seasons with the Ducks organization, he re-signed with the Hurricanes as a free agent on Aug. 1.
