Free Agent Signings:
G Frederik Andersen - 2 years, $4.5M AAV
Andersen, 31, has registered a 226-100-48 record in 393 career NHL games with Anaheim and Toronto. While with the Maple Leafs in 2019-20, Andersen was chosen to represent the Atlantic Division at the 2020 NHL All-Star Game. The 6'4", 229-pound netminder also won the William Jennings Trophy alongside John Gibson in 2015-16, earning a 22-9-7 record, 2.30 goals-against average, .919 save percentage and three shutouts in 43 games.
G Annti Raanta - 2 years, $2M AAV
Raanta, 32, earned a 5-5-2 record, 3.36 goals-against average and .905 save percentage in 12 appearances for the Arizona Coyotes last season. In four seasons with Arizona from 2017-21, he posted a 46-42-11 record, 2.57 goals-against average, .921 save percentage and five shutouts.
D Ian Cole - 1 year, $2.9M contract
Cole, 32, skated in two games with Colorado last season before being traded to Minnesota. He then recorded eight points (1g, 7a) in 52 games during the regular season and played seven playoff games with the Wild.
D Tony DeAngelo - 1 year, $1M contract
DeAngelo, 25, has posted 106 points (24g, 82a) in 206 career NHL games with the Rangers and Coyotes. The 5'11", 180-pound blueliner registered career-highs in goals (15), assists (38), points (53), plus/minus (+12) and games played (68) during the shortened 2019-20 regular season.
F Josh Leivo - 1 year, $750K contract
Leivo, 28, completed his eighth NHL season in 2020-21, posting nine points (6g, 3a) in 38 games with the Calgary Flames. In 2019-20, the 6'2", 192-pound forward tallied a career-high 19 points (7g, 12a) in 36 games with the Vancouver Canucks.
F CJ Smith - 1 year, 2-way contract
Smith, 26, has played 14 career NHL games with the Buffalo Sabres, posting three points (2g, 1a). The 5'11", 183-pound forward has registered 13 points (4g, 9a) in 15 AHL games with Rochester in 2020-21 and has recorded 142 points (61g, 81a) in 184 career AHL games with the Americans.
Re-Signing:
F Jordan Martinook - 3 years, $1.8M AAV
Martinook, 29, recorded 13 points (4g, 9a) in 44 games during the regular season and added three assists in 11 playoff games with the Hurricanes in 2020-21. The 6'1", 204-pound forward ranked fifth on the team with 90 hits last season and ranks second on the team in hits since 2018-19.

Bear, 24, registered eight points (2g, 6a) in 43 games with the Oilers in 2020-21. The 5'11", 197-pound blueliner has tallied 33 points (8g, 25a) in 132 career NHL games, all with Edmonton. He skated in 89 American Hockey League games over two seasons with Bakersfield from 2017-19, earning 49 points (12g, 37a).
