Among all goaltenders playing at least 20 AHL games this season, he ranks first in goals-against average and tied for second in shutouts. Lyon owns an 89-60-17 record, 2.67 goals-against average, .913 save percentage and nine shutouts in 172 career AHL games with Lehigh Valley and Chicago from 2016-22. The 6'1", 201-pound netminder has also made two NHL appearances with Carolina this season, earning a 1-0-1 record, 2.93 goals-against average and .908 save percentage. He has registered a 7-7-3 record, 3.18 goals-against average and .895 save percentage in 24 career NHL games with Philadelphia and Carolina from 2018-22. Prior to turning professional, Lyon earned a 50-29-14 record, 1.88 goals-against average, .931 save percentage and 15 shutouts in 93 career NCAA games with Yale from 2013-16, where he was twice named ECAC Goaltender of the Year and was selected as a finalist for the Hobey Baker and Mike Richter awards in 2016. The Baudette, Minn., native also made 99 USHL appearances with the Cedar Rapids Roughriders and Omaha Lancers from 2011-13, posting a 52-37-4 record, 2.73 goals-against average, .912 save percentage and five shutouts.
