Hurricanes Trim Roster to 29 Players

Ryan, Brown, McGinn to be assigned to Charlotte

RALEIGH, NC - Ron Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has assigned forwards Patrick Brown and Brock McGinn to Charlotte of the American Hockey League (AHL). In addition, forward Derek Ryan will be assigned to Charlotte pending waivers on Sunday.

The Hurricanes training camp roster now stands at 29 players. NHL rosters must be trimmed to 23 active players by Tuesday at 5 p.m.
