RALEIGH, NC. -The National Hockey League announced the current order of selection for the 2023 Draft on Thursday, with the Carolina Hurricanes currently holding nine picks.
Six of the nine choices are Carolina's own, with three being acquired via trade.
The Canes last made nine or more selections in 2021, when they drafted 13 players, which remains tied for the most picks made by a club since the establishment of the seven-round draft in 2005.
This year's draft will be held at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on June 28-29. Round 1 will take place on Wednesday, June 28, beginning at 7 p.m. ESPN holds the broadcast rights. Rounds 2-7 will take place on Thursday, June 29, starting at 11 a.m. NHL Network will broadcast the second day's coverage.
