With Frederik Andersen remaining out due to a lower-body injury that he suffered last Saturday in Colorado, Kochetkov was emergency recalled from Chicago (AHL) Sunday. The 2019 second round draft selection has played both in the KHL and AHL already this season, registering a .926 SV% with Torpedo (KHL) before their season ended, then building a record of 13-1-1 with Chicago (AHL) before his recall.
Given that today is the first of two games in two days for the Canes, the coaching staff elected to go with the 22-year-old for his first start this afternoon, presumably leaving Antti Raanta for tomorrow against the Islanders.
Outside of the prospect's arrival in net, no other lineup changes are expected for Carolina today. The same cast that skated to a 4-2 comeback victory over Winnipeg on Thursday will take the ice once again.
The projected lineup for this afternoon's 12:30 p.m. EST puck drop is:
Forwards:
Teravainen - Aho - Jarvis
Svechnikov - Trocheck - Necas
Niederreiter - Staal - Fast
Martinook - Domi - Lorentz

Skjei - Pesce
Smith - Cole
Starting Goalie:
Kochetkov
Injuries:

Note: Lineup subject to change prior to opening faceoff
