RALEIGH, NC. -It appears Teuvo Teravainen will be a game-time decision Saturday when the Carolina Hurricanes host the New Jersey Devils for Whalers Night.

The club's top line left wing was described as "fighting a little something" per Head Coach Rod Brind'Amour at media availability, saying they weren't sure of his status for the night. The left-handed forward left last Friday's night's win over New York with a lower-body injury and then did not play Saturday. He did, however, play both Tuesday and Thursday in the team's victories over Vegas and Ottawa.
In place of Teravainen, Jordan Martinook skated on the left of Sebastian Aho and Seth Jarvis. Martinook has yet to play a game since returning from the team's COVID-19 list.
Antti Raanta was in the starter's net this morning, signaling that he'll likely be in the home team's net this evening.
On the blue line, no changes are expected, as Brendan Smith also did not skate.
