BUFFALO, NY. -Antti Raanta is expected to be the Carolina Hurricanes' last line of defense Wednesday, as they round out their first "half" schedule against the Buffalo Sabres.

The veteran netminder is anticipated to be between the pipes after Frederik Andersen
earned the win for the Canes on Tuesday against Los Angeles.
Raanta is 9-0-2 in his last 12 appearances, most recently earning a win on Friday night against the San Jose Sharks. His last regulation loss came back on
November 12 to the Colorado Avalanche
.
In front of Raanta, it is unknown whether the Canes will stick with how they closed out last night's win over the Kings, or if they will revert back to the lineup that had earned them several victories prior.
History suggests that the team will go back to how they started their sixth consecutive victory, but in an effort to spark change in the third period, Rod Brind'Amour shuffled three out of four lines. Martin Necas worked with Sebastian Aho and Stefan Noesen, while Andrei Svechnikov skated alongside Teuvo Teravainen and Seth Jarvis. Jordan Staal's line remained intact and the trio of Jesperi Kotkaniemi, Derek Stepan, and Paul Stastny scored the first goal of what would become three in a row for Carolina.
On the blue line, Jaccob Slavin, who has missed the team's five most recent games, is not expected to play again tonight. The Canes are 5-0 without the trusty defender, who suffered a lower-body injury back on January 19.
Carolina's projected lineup for tonight's 7:30 p.m. EST puck drop is:
