RALEIGH, NC. -The Carolina Hurricanes appear to be turning to Frederik Andersen in net once again as the Carolina Hurricanes host the New York Rangers on Thursday.
The veteran netminder turned aside 29 out of 31 when the two teams met on Tuesday night, earning a third consecutive victory . While the team had been going with an every-other-game rotation between Andersen and Pyotr Kochetkov, following Wednesday's practice Rod Brind'Amour said that the staff needed to see if it made more sense to start getting into more of a rhythm with one goaltender. In front of Andersen, it looks like the team will keep the same formation of skaters as they had for Tuesday's win. The forward group was altered following Saturday's thrilling win in Philadelphia , and the new combination produced another exciting win to start the new week.
