EDMONTON, Alta. - Frederik Andersen is expected to be between the pipes for the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday when they try to get back in the win column against the Edmonton Oilers.
Andersen, the first goalie off the ice following morning skate, is likely to get his scheduled turn in the rotation after Pyotr Kochetkov played on Saturday in St. Louis. "Zilla's" last outing was on Friday in Pittsburgh, when he put together a 25/26 performance en route to his first victory of the season.
Andersen has faced the Oilers 22 times throughout his 12-year career and in those games, he is 17-2-2 with a .924 save percentage.
In front of the Canes' crease, Brent Burns and Andrei Svechnikov are good to go after both temporarily missing time during Saturday's game in St. Louis.
At morning skate Jackson Blake was back alongside Jack Drury and Eric Robinson after switching roles with Jack Roslovic in the team's most recent game.
Roslovic scored shortly after the switch, but it appears that having him work to the left of Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Martin Necas will be how Carolina will at least start things this evening.
