Vanecek made eight saves in the first, including consecutive stops against Boldy and Joel Eriksson Ek from the slot at 18:33.
Vanecek made a glove save, one of his 11 stops in the second period, on a wrist shot by Frederick Gaudreau from the high slot at 6:50 of the second period. Gustavsson denied a backhand by Jesper Bratt in the slot at 14:39 of the second, one of his 12 saves in the period.
"I think we have confidence in our team that that we know how to play in these tight games, and we feel comfortable in our system and know how to play it," Boldy said. "We obviously have played in a lot of one-goal games this year, so it's nice to have that experience and kind of be able to just be calm in that moment, rather than stressed out."
The Wild are 19-7-8 in one-goal games this season.
"The bottom line is we've got a lot of guys that can play in the National Hockey League and play at a high level," Evason said. "It's exciting for us to have the depth that we do."
