Erod Cup BU

Evan Rodrigues marched into his old stomping grounds with a shiny new friend.

The Florida Panthers forward took the Stanley Cup to his alma mater, Boston University, on Friday.

Rodrigues and Lord Stanley were serenaded by the school’s marching band as they walked into Agganis Arena in a video posted by BU Hockey on social media.

The veteran forward lifted the trophy over his head as walked in with his wife and three children and greeted the crowd.

His two sons were dressed in matching suit jackets and white gloves, a nod to the Hockey Hall of Fame's Phil Pritchard and the guardians who travel with the trophy.

The team even shared a picture of the Rodrigues's way back when and present day.

Rodrigues played four seasons for Boston University from 2011-2015. He recorded 121 points (42 goals, 79 assists) in 146 games with the program.
