MARCH MADNESS - The Rangers closed out March with a 11-4-0 record, setting a franchise high for the most wins in the month of March. Only eight times in team history have the Rangers won 11 or more games in a single month (Mar. 2022 - 11, Feb. 2020 - 11, Nov. 1993 - 11, Jan. 1973 - 11, Oct. 1990 - 11, Dec. 1996, 1995, 1970 - 11).
FOUR IN A ROW - The Blueshirts won their fourth straight game, giving them their fourth winning streak this season of four-plus games. New York has wins in six of its last seven games, eight of its last 10 games and 11 of its last 15 contests.
ROAD WARRIORS - New York improved to 22-13-2 (46 pts) on the road and have won five of their last six games away from MSG. Tonight was the Blueshirts' 37th road game of the season, the most in the NHL. Two of their remaining four road games will come in New Jersey and on Long Island.
ATLANTIC RECORDS - The Rangers improved to 17-2-1 against the Atlantic Division, their 17 wins being a league-high. New York's 28 wins against the Eastern Conference are tied for the most in the NHL with Florida.
BACK-TO-BACK, ALRIGHT! - New York completed its 12th back-to-back set of the season, improving to 7-4-1 in the second half of back-to-backs. The Blueshirts' seven wins in the second half of back-to-back games are the fourth most in the NHL. On the year, the Rangers have won both games of a back-to-back on five occasions.
ANOTHER ONE - The Rangers collected their franchise-high 24th comeback win of the year after coming from behind at 2-1, 3-2 and 4-3. New York improved to 16-3-1 when tied after two periods, their 16 wins in those instances being the most in the NHL.
ALL THAT POWER - Chris Kreider netted the tying goal on the power play, giving the Rangers a power play tally in eight of their last 11 games (9G) and 10 of their last 15 games (11G). In the NHL, the Blueshirts rank second in power play percentage with a 27.1 percent mark. Kreider and Zibanejad have combined for 37 power play goals (Kreider - 24, Zibanejad - 13), tied for the second most combined power-play goals between two Rangers players in a single season.
SHOT(S) THROUGH THE HEART- New York outshot the Red Wings, 34-26, and have recorded 30 or more shots in four of their last five games.
STAYING LATE - The Rangers improved to 4-3 in the five-minute overtime session, winning each of their last three games in overtime. Two of the New York's last three games have been decided in OT.
