DETROIT --After a two-year hiatus, the Detroit Red Wings Foundation is excited to announce that the fan-favorite Paint the Ice event at Little Caesars Arena is back this season on Sunday, May 1.

By making a small donation to benefit the Detroit Red Wings Foundation, fans can now register online for a 30-minute time slot from 1 to 4 p.m. on May 1 to paint a personal message or piece of art on a section of the Red Wings' home ice as we close out the 2021-22 season.
The Detroit Red Wings Foundation will provide paint supplies for all attendees, and complimentary parking in the UWM Garage (128 W. Fisher Freeway) is included with the donation. Participants are encouraged to take personal photos of their messages and designs following each session.
"After not being able to host this family friendly event for the last two seasons, we're thrilled to bring back the Paint the Ice event again for fans of all ages on May 1," said Ilitch Sports + Entertainment director of community impact Kevin Brown. "With proceeds going toward all the wonderful things the Detroit Red Wings Foundation does, this is a must-attend event - delivering an incredible experience on the same iconic ice surface on which Red Wings players competed throughout the 2021-22 season."

The minimum donation for participants ages 11 and older is $20 per person. Participants between 2 and 11 years old are $10 each, while children under 2 years of age are free.
A limited number of spots are available for the Paint the Ice event. Each 30-minute time slot is limited to 150 participants.
Specific areas of the ice are not guaranteed, and painting locations will be on a first-come, first-served basis throughout the event. All participants are encouraged to wear suitable clothes and shoes for the event (no heels or open-toed shoes).
