EDMONTON -- The Detroit Red Wings will look to extend their winning streak to four games on Wednesday night against the Edmonton Oilers at Rogers Place.

Puck drop between Detroit (24-20-8; 56 points) and Edmonton (30-19-5; 65 points) is set for 9:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. MT on Bally Sports Detroit Extra and the Red Wings Radio Network (97.1 The Ticket in Detroit).
The Red Wings enter Wednesday's game, the first half of a midweek back-to-back, riding high after pulling away from the Vancouver Canucks, 6-1, on Monday. Captain Dylan Larkin scored two first-period goals and netminder Ville Husso made 29 saves for the Red Wings, who have won three consecutive games for the first time since winning four straight from Nov. 17-25.

Larkin's two goals power Red Wings' 6-1 road rout

"It's always nice when you get the wins," said Husso, who improved to 5-1-0 in his last six starts since Jan. 24. "We just need to keep rolling. We can't get too comfortable."
In the first meeting this season between Detroit and Edmonton, the Red Wings dropped a 5-2 decision against the Oilers on Feb. 7 at Little Caesars Arena. Red Wings head coach Derek Lalonde said his club is again focused on limiting penalties against Edmonton, which has the NHL's top power play at 31.1 percent.
"You just gotta limit their looks," Lalonde said. "They're gonna create looks, you just have to minimize it. Own the middle and have good structure, but do not put them on the power play if possible."
After Wednesday's morning skate, Lalonde said that Jakub Vrana, who was recalled from the American Hockey League's Grand Rapids Griffins on Tuesday, will not return to Detroit's lineup against the Oilers.
"He's gonna be our 13th forward," Lalonde said. "It'll be a day-to-day type scenario. Had a really good talk with him this morning, excited to have him back. The most important thing is that we'll treat him like any other player."
The 26-year-old Czech forward was reinstated by the NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance Program on Dec. 16 before being assigned to the Griffins for conditioning on Dec. 28. On Oct. 15, his last appearance with the Red Wings, Vrana tallied one goal and one assist.
"Guys down there have been great," said Vrana, who posted six goals and five assists in 17 games with the Griffins prior to being recalled. "And I'm happy to play again."

In a corresponding move, Lucas Raymond was placed on injured reserve, retroactive to Feb. 10.
"I don't know if you can replace a top-line winger like that," Lalonde said about Raymond. "Especially the way he was playing. Again, we've sustained a number of significant injuries up front and there wasn't a single game through those injuries that we didn't feel like we had a winnable roster."
In their last game, the Oilers saw their 11-game point streak end in a 6-2 road loss to the Montreal Canadiens on Sunday. Connor McDavid leads the club in goals (42), assists (55) and points (97), and his 97 points leads the NHL, with Leon Draisaitl second in NHL scoring with 79 points on 30 goals and 49 assists.
In net for Edmonton, Jack Campbell and Stuart Skinner have combined for a 3.11 goals-against average and a .902 save percentage.
