The Detroit Red Wings dropped a 4-1 decision to the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday night at Little Caesars Arena.

Tyler Bertuzzi's power-play goal tied the score, 1-1, midway though the second period, but the Senators netted the eventual game-winner 3:05 later and pulled away with two late empty-netters in the final frame.
Wings netminder Thomas Greiss stopped 28 of 30 shots.
Tuesday's final score also saw Ottawa complete its first three-game season series sweep over Detroit in franchise history.
NEXT UP:The Red Wings will hit the road to face the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday night. Puck drop from PNC Arena is set for 7 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN+ and Hulu.

The Red Wings evened the score after Moritz Seider's shot from the point hit the backboard and slid right to Bertuzzi, who grabbed the rebound and put the puck past Senators netminder Anton Forsberg for a power-play goal. Lucas Raymond was also credited with an assist on Bertuzzi's first tally since March 30.

Drake Batherson redirected Michael Del Zotto's shot past Greiss for his 15th goal of the season and the eventual game-winner.

Tim Stützle scored an empty-net goal to put the Senators ahead by a pair.

Stützle recorded his second empty-netter of the night to complete the scoring.
