Keith Stevenson

Keith is a member and artist of the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe. He is known for maintaining cultural expertise while nurturing and protecting the intellectual and spiritual property rights of the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe. Keith’s design draws inspiration from textile designs from the Coast Salish territory, and it is representative of the Muckleshoot Indian Tribes’ Great Seal. While his piece primarily gives recognition to his tribal identity, its purpose is to encompass and honor the indigenous communities within the larger PNW region.

Come and meet Keith himself at the lower level on gameday. He will be at the TCP Gear for Good kiosk, next to the Living Wall, from 5:45 – 6:15 p.m.

The NHL, alongside their jersey partner, Fanatics, create the annual lavender primary logos for all 32 NHL clubs. During Kraken Hockey Fights Cancer Night, the team puts a unique spin on the number and letter pattern for these Common Thread jerseys. The signature lavender ribbon is a sign of support for those living with all forms of cancer. This year’s number pattern will feature the lavender cancer ribbon inside each number. The Seattle Kraken are proud to partner with Virginia Mason Franciscan Health to support our community members impacted by cancer.

Victor Melendez

Victor is a Seattle-based artist originally from Mexico City. He is currently working as an art director, graphic designer and illustrator. Victor’s design draws inspiration from Quetzalcoatl (“Feathered Serpent” in Nahuatl), the God of Life, Light and Wisdom, also related to arts, crafts, knowledge, and learning. The pattern and colors in the art are inspired by ancient patterns found in architecture, textiles and art from all over Latin America.

Víctor es un artista originario de la Ciudad de México que reside en Seattle. Actualmente trabaja como Director de Arte, Diseñador Gráfico e ilustrador. El diseño de Víctor se inspira en Quetzalcóatl (“Serpiente Emplumada” en náhuatl), el dios de la vida, la luz y la sabiduría, también relacionado con las artes, la artesanía, el conocimiento y el aprendizaje. El sello y los colores de la obra están inspirados en patrones antiguos que se encuentran en la arquitectura, los textiles y el arte de toda América Latina.

Kelly is an illustrator based in Seattle. Kelly’s Pride Night design aims to depict a world of tenderness, acceptance, and vulnerability to share the sensations of emotional wellbeing – a message that they aim to foster in their life and in their community. The disco ball symbolizes a particular moment in the LGBTQIA+ communities’ journey to liberation; a time when queer people could openly self-express, and see their true selves reflected to them in spaces that felt inclusive and celebratory.

Shayla Hufana

Shayla is a visual artist, graphic, & experiential designer based in Seattle. Shayla was raised in the Beacon Hill neighborhood, and she works in a wide range of industries. Her graphic design work has been featured around the world. The Lunar New Year jersey design she created draws inspiration from the upcoming 2025 Year of the Wood Snake. Shayla was also influenced by her Seattle roots and Filipino heritage, emphasizing the essence of family, friendship and teamwork in her designs.

Rae Akino

Influenced by music, theater, film, and life, the D.C. native uses bold colors and expressive forms to explore consciousness, spirituality, sexuality, and self. Rae’s reimagined Kraken “S” is a fusion of the traditional and the future; Traditional African tribal patterns with bold, repetitive geometric shapes are combined with Afro-futuristic patterns, incorporating mechanical style lines almost resembling a circuit board.

Marisol Ortega

Marisol Ortega is a first-generation Mexican American designer, illustrator, and letterer. Her grandmother has been an inspiration in her upbringing and work as one of the many strong women she knows in her life. Her hope with this artwork is to empower women, much like the pottery she often saw at her grandma's house, to be sturdy clay pots that hold whole, strong root systems and beautiful flowers.

Kel Lauren

Kel is the first Common Thread artist from Portland, Oregon. Their work has been featured on merchandise and promotional materials by local and global musicians. Their Green Night design incorporates threatened and endangered species of the Pacific Northwest. Their design also features well-known plants and commemorates the biodiversity in our region. Kel wanted their design to highlight that each living thing has a dependency on one another.
