San Jose Sharks captain Logan Couture loves to read and while we all may find ourselves with a little more time on our hands, he wanted to share his favorite hobby with the rest of Sharks Territory. Take a look at his second review:
I was recommended this book on Twitter and I'm glad I read it! I don't usually read books in this genre, but I gave it a shot. Continue on for my full review!
Title: Dark Matter
Author:Blake Crouch
How many pages: 336 pages
Why did you pick this book: I ordered this book because someone on Twitter suggested it. Thank you to whomever that was!
Review: Dark Matter imagines an alternate life. Jason Dessen is kidnapped by a man he's never met, he then wakes up to a completely different life in a brand new world. His house is no longer his house, his wife is no longer his wife. He tries to solve the puzzle while someone is hunting him.
This novel captivated me from the start, I don't usually enjoy alternate reality books, but once I finished this, I ordered his Wayward Pines trilogy.
Something random I learned/interesting fact: I can't really say there were random facts, but I constantly found myself daydreaming about being caught in an alternate reality once I finished the book. Wonder what choices I would have made, haha!
Rating: Very good read - 4.5/5
How long did it take me to read it: I was able to finish Dark Matter in just a few days. Very easy and quick read.
What I'm reading next: My next book is Stillhouse Lake by Rachel Caine, the first of a four-book series. Please join along and hope you enjoyed my review!
