RALEIGH, NC - Don Waddell, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has reached an agreement on a three-year extension with Capitol Broadcasting Company to keep 99.9 FM The Fan as the flagship station of the Hurricanes Radio Network. The agreement continues the Hurricanes' and The Fan's partnership through the 2025-26 NHL season.

"We are happy to extend our affiliation with Capitol Broadcasting, who has provided a radio home for so much of our time in North Carolina,"said Waddell.
Under the terms of the extension, 99.9 The Fan will continue to carry a simulcast of Bally Sports South's television broadcast of Hurricanes games. The Fan will also continue to produce ancillary programming for each game, including its pregame and postgame shows, Storm Watch and Aftermath.
"We're really excited about continuing our long-standing relationship with the Carolina Hurricanes,"said Brian Grube, General Manager of Radio at Capitol Broadcasting. "We're looking forward to providing more great audio coverage across multiple platforms."
