RALEIGH, NC - Don Waddell, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has reached an agreement with the Nashville Predators and the Chicago Wolves on an American Hockey League (AHL) affiliation partnership for the 2020-21 season.

"This season presents a unique situation, with NHL teams having taxi squads and some AHL teams opting out," said Waddell. "We were able to come to an agreement with the Predators and Wolves that we believe benefits everyone involved. The Wolves have been great partners and we're thankful for their willingness to work out this agreement."
As part of the agreement, the Predators will be able to loan players to the Wolves this season. The current Wolves coaching staff, including Head Coach Ryan Warsofsky, will handle coaching duties. The Hurricanes announced a three-year affiliation agreement with the Wolves on Sept. 10, 2020. Since joining the AHL in 2001, the Wolves have captured eight division titles, four conference championships and two Calder Cups (2002, 2008).
