RALEIGH, NC - Don Waddell, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has recalled forward Drew Shore and goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic from the team's taxi squad. Additionally, the Hurricanes have placed forward Max McCormick on injured reserve.

Shore, 30, has tallied 26 points (9g, 17a) in 94 career NHL games with Vancouver, Calgary and Florida. The 6'2", 209-pound forward posted 38 points (10g, 28a) in 61 Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) games with Kunlun, Minsk and Nizhny Novgorod from 2018-20. He also skated in 90 games with Kloten HC and Zurich SC of Switzerland's National League from 2016-18, with 73 points (29g, 44a). The Denver, Colo., native was signed by Carolina as a free agent on Oct. 21, 2020.
Nedeljkovic, 25, has posted a 2-2-1 record, 2.55 goals-against average and .907 save percentage in six career NHL games with Carolina. He registered a 15-10-2 record, 2.51 goals-against average, .905 save percentage and four shutouts in 28 AHL appearances with Charlotte in 2019-20 and was named to the 2020 AHL All-Star Challenge. Nedeljkovic won the Aldege "Baz" Bastien Memorial Award as the AHL's most outstanding goaltender during the 2018-19 season after posting a 34-9-5 record with four shutouts, a 2.26 goals-against average and a .916 save percentage. The 6'0", 201-pound netminder has registered an 88-45-11 record, 2.57 goals-against average, .904 save percentage and 14 shutouts in 153 career AHL games, all with Charlotte. The Parma, Ohio, native was drafted by the Hurricanes in the second round, 37th overall, of the 2014 NHL Draft.
McCormick, 28, has skated in a pair of NHL games with Carolina this season and made his Hurricanes debut on Jan. 28 against Tampa Bay. The 5'11", 188-pound forward posted 35 points (16g, 19a) in 56 AHL games with the Charlotte in 2019-20, matching his AHL career high in assists and establishing a career best with five power-play goals. The De Pere, Wis., native was named the winner of the Checkers' Unsung Hero Award and joined the Hurricanes for the Stanley Cup Playoffs in Toronto, but not appear in a game. McCormick has recorded 10 points (6g, 4a) in 73 career NHL games with Ottawa and Carolina. He was drafted by the Senators in the sixth round, 171st overall, of the 2011 NHL Draft.
