DALLAS - The physical and mental rigors of a compressed schedule are evident as the Carolina Hurricanes head down the stretch of the regular season, so any chance the team has to spend a day away from the rink is valuable.
The Canes landed in Dallas in the early-morning hours of Sunday, April 25, with a scheduled day off in front of them. The team spend Sunday afternoon and evening at Trinity Forest Golf Club, where some golfed nine holes, some took on the par three and all enjoyed an outdoor dinner to cap off the day.

"It was nice," Brett Pesce said. "It's always nice to get a mental and physical break, doing something outside and getting your mind off hockey for a day. It was definitely a little refreshing."
