Take Warning. The Carolina Hurricanes will wear their black third jerseys at home during the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs, a decision that came from the locker room.
"The guys like the black jerseys. We think they're sharp," Justin Faulk said. "Guys like wearing them." And why not? The team was 11-2-2 in their new alternate sweaters this season. "I'm not superstitious. I'm not going to fall into the trap of quoting Michael Scott, either," Faulk joked in reference to "The Office."

Unveiled in June, the Canes debuted their new thirds on the ice on Sunday, Oct. 7 against the New York Rangers. They wore the black kits 14 additional times in the 2018-19 regular season, including once on the road. The Canes clinched their first playoff berth in 10 years on Thursday night. The first-round schedule for the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs will be announced on Sunday morning. Limited tickets remain for the Hurricanes' home games in round one.
