8.10.23 Martinook

RALEIGH, NC. -Can't wait until the end of September to get your hockey party started?

Fear not, Jordan Martinook has you covered.

On Saturday, September 9, the Canes forward will be hosting his first "Marty Party" at Bowstring Pizza & Brewyard, gathering fans for a get-together ahead of the new season in Raleigh.

Featuring live music and a dunk tank in which Martinook himself will be in, the event also includes the launch of a collaboration with R&D Brewing, the official brewers of Storm Brew. The Marty Party, a Mexican-style lager, will be available for the first time, something that the team's #48 has been excited to release since first approached about the idea.

"We were originally just going to do some sort of event with Bowstring, but R&D wanted to be a part of it and they mentioned being able to do my own beer. I was all for it," Martinook shared. "Everyone knows that I like to have a lot of fun, and I don't need to drink all the time to be doing that, but I don't mind putting a couple away either."

The trusty winger says that the beverage will be similar to a Corona with lime, and he was able to incorporate his two cents into how the beer was made. While it will only be available at the party to start, Martinook hopes that the product will take off and maybe one day make its way into PNC Arena.

"I'm excited about the party and to see the fans. It's always good to be able to get everyone together and for everyone to have the chance to mingle," he continued. "September in Raleigh is great because the weather is still hot, so it should be easy drinking."

In addition to the overall excitement for the gathering, a percentage of the sales from the Marty Party will benefit

, a Raleigh-area charity that Martinook has been involved with for several years.

"I was lucky enough to meet the head of the foundation a few years ago and we've had a good friendship ever since," the alternate captain reflected on the relationship. "Being able to give back to them as much as possible is something that's very important to me, so I'm glad that they have a part in the event as well."

Martinook has emceed A Doorway to Hope's gala the past few seasons and when he registered his hat trick this past season, his $1,000 donation from the NHL via Enterprise went to them as well.
