• Rod Brind'Amour said on Friday he wasn't sure yet where Kuznetsov will slot in, but with 568 career points, it feels safe to say the new #92 will make an impact no matter where he is in the lineup.

• After Frederik Andersen returned on Thursday, it feels likely the team will want to keep Pyotr Kochetkov in a rhythm.
• Kochetkov has been outstanding since mid-December, posting a record of 12-5-2 with a .927 save percentage and being named the league's Rookie of the Month last week.
• The team also has Spencer Martin available, after Antti Raanta was reassigned to the Chicago Wolves (AHL) on Friday.

Injury Updates

• Newly acquired forward Jake Guentzel suffered an upper-body injury while playing with the Pittsburgh Penguins on February 14. He will be examined by Carolina's team doctors upon arrival in Raleigh. He has been skating and is expected to debut with his new team within the next week or two.
