The Carolina Hurricanes drop the puck on the 2018-19 regular season when they host the New York Islanders at PNC Arena.
Andrei Svechnikov will make his NHL debut, while six other skaters will dress in their first Hurricanes game: forwards Micheal Ferland and Jordan Martinook, defensemen Calvin de Haan and Dougie Hamilton and goaltenders Petr Mrazek (who will get the start in net) and Curtis McElhinney.
